St. Eustathios the Confessor, Archbishop of Antioch, Father of the First Ecumenical Council.
St. Eustathios was born in Side of Pamphylia and became Bishop of Beroea and then Archbishop of Antioch. He took a leading part in the First Ecumenical Council at Nicaea in 325, defending the divinity of Christ against Arius.
The Arians later deposed him on false charges and he died in exile in Thrace; his relics were brought back to Antioch with great honour in the fifth century.

On the New Calendar, Eustathios of Antioch is commemorated on February 21. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on March 6 (a day earlier in leap years) of the civil calendar.
