Timothy of Symbola

Venerable Timothy of Symbola.

St. Timothy of Symbola was a monk who lived the ascetic life at the monastery of Symbola in Bithynia, in Asia Minor. From his youth he embraced obedience, fasting, and unceasing prayer, and the synaxaria remember him as a vessel of purity who received from God grace to heal the sick and drive away evil spirits.

Having lived to old age in holiness, he reposed in peace. He is commemorated on February 21.
