Finding of the Relics of Seraphim of Sarov

Uncovering of the relics of Venerable Seraphim of Sarov, wonderworker.

This day commemorates the uncovering of the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov in 1903, at his glorification by the Russian Church. St. Seraphim, who reposed in 1833, is one of the most beloved of Russian saints, known for his teaching on the acquisition of the Holy Spirit.

His main feast is kept on January 2.
