Venerable George, founder of the Monastery of Saint John Chrysostom at Koutsovendis in Cyprus.
George was a Cypriot ascetic of the eleventh century who founded the Monastery of Saint John Chrysostom on the slopes of the Pentadaktylos range near Koutsovendis. He gathered a community there and guided it in the monastic life.
He reposed in peace and is venerated among the saints of Cyprus.
