Gerasimos of Sourvia

Venerable Gerasimos, founder of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity of Sourvia on Pelion.

St. Gerasimos was an ascetic of the seventeenth century who founded the monastery of the Holy Trinity at Sourvia, near Makrinitsa on Mount Pelion in Thessaly, and guided its brotherhood in the monastic life. He reposed in peace.

He is commemorated on September 14.
