Holy Virgin Glaphyra, servant of the empress, who fled to Amaseia and was sheltered by Saint Basil.
Glaphyra was a maidservant of the empress Constantia, wife of Licinius. When the emperor sought to seduce her, the empress helped her flee in disguise to Amaseia, where Bishop Basil received her and she gave money to build a church.
When her whereabouts were discovered she was condemned with Basil, but reposed before the sentence could be carried out, in the early fourth century.
