Holy Martyr Heliodoros of Magydos in Pamphylia.
Saint Heliodoros was a Christian of Magydos in Pamphylia during the reign of Aurelian. Arrested for his faith, he was subjected to many tortures, which tradition relates he bore with such courage that some of his torturers believed.
He was finally beheaded.
Feast day
On the New Calendar, Heliodoros of Magydos is commemorated on November 19. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on December 2 of the civil calendar.
