Saint Ignatios Agallianos, Archbishop of Methymna on Lesbos, wonderworker.
Ignatios was born on Lesbos around 1492, married and served as a priest, and after his wife's death became a monk. He was made Metropolitan of Methymna and founded the monastery of the Leimon and the convent of Myrsiniotissa.
He labored to strengthen the faith of his flock under Ottoman rule and reposed in 1566; his relics are kept at the Leimonos monastery, where many miracles are recorded.
