Holy Hieromartyr Kyriakos, Patriarch of Jerusalem, who showed Saint Helen the place of the Cross, and his mother Anna.
Judas, a Jew of Jerusalem, revealed to the empress Helen the place where the Cross of Christ lay hidden. Coming to faith, he was baptized with the name Kyriakos and later became Bishop of Jerusalem.
Tradition relates that under Julian the Apostate he was tortured and martyred together with his mother Anna.
Feast day
On the New Calendar, Kyriakos of Jerusalem is commemorated on October 28. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on November 10 of the civil calendar.
