Venerable Luke of Sicily, monk and abbot.
Venerable Luke was a monk of Sicily who lived in the ninth century. Tradition relates that he left the world as a young man, laboured in several monasteries and eventually became abbot, guiding many in the ascetic life.
He reposed in peace.

On the New Calendar, Luke of Sicily is commemorated on November 6. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on November 19 of the civil calendar.
