Luke the Steward of the Kiev Caves

Venerable Luke, steward of the Kiev Caves Lavra.

Venerable Luke was a monk of the Kiev Caves Lavra who served as steward of the monastery in the thirteenth century. His relics rest in the Far Caves.

He is remembered for his faithful stewardship and his life of humility.

On the New Calendar, Luke the Steward of the Kiev Caves is commemorated on November 6. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on November 19 of the civil calendar.
