Luke the Hermit

Venerable Luke the hermit, an ascetic whose memory is preserved in the synaxaria.

Saint Luke is remembered in the Greek synaxaria as a hermit who lived the solitary ascetic life and reposed in peace. The details of his life have not been preserved.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Luke the Hermit is commemorated on June 27. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on July 10 of the civil calendar.
