Mark, Aristarchos and Zenon the Apostles

Holy Apostles Mark, Aristarchos and Zenon of the Seventy.

St. Mark, called also John, is the kinsman of Barnabas named in the Acts and the Epistles; St. Aristarchos was the Apostle Paul's fellow prisoner and, tradition holds, bishop of Apamea in Syria; St. Zenon is the lawyer whom Paul commends to Titus, and is said to have been bishop of Diospolis.

All three are numbered among the Seventy and are commemorated together on September 27.

On the New Calendar, Mark, Aristarchos and Zenon the Apostles is commemorated on September 27. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on October 10 of the civil calendar.
