Bishops Manuel, George, Peter and Leo and 377 companions, martyred in Bulgaria.

In the ninth century, during the wars between Byzantium and the Bulgarian khan Krum and his successors, the bishops Manuel of Adrianople, George of Develtos, Peter and Leo, together with clergy, soldiers and a great multitude of Christian captives numbering 377, were put to death for refusing to deny Christ.

They are commemorated on January 22.
