Menas, David and John

Holy Monk-Martyrs Menas, David and John of Palestine, slain by arrows.

Menas, David and John were monks of Palestine who were seized by Arab raiders in the seventh century. Refusing to deny Christ, they were shot with arrows.

They are honoured among the monastic martyrs of the Holy Land.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Menas, David and John is commemorated on April 12. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on April 25 of the civil calendar.
