Peregrinos and those with him

Holy Martyrs Peregrinos, Lucian, Pompeius, Hesychios, Papias, Saturninus and Germanus of Dyrrachium.

Sts. Peregrinos, Lucian, Pompeius, Hesychios, Papias, Saturninus and Germanus were Christians from Italy who fled the persecution of Trajan to Dyrrachium. There, seeing the sufferings of the bishop Asteios, they openly confessed Christ.

They were drowned in the sea for their faith, and their bodies were later found and buried with honor.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Peregrinos and those with him is commemorated on July 7. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on July 20 of the civil calendar.
