St. Polyeuktos, Patriarch of Constantinople.
St. Polyeuktos was a monk of Constantinople known for his learning and ascetic life who was raised to the patriarchal throne in the tenth century. He was fearless in rebuking emperors and firm in defending the canons of the Church.
During his patriarchate the Russian princess Olga was baptised in Constantinople. He reposed in peace after governing the Church for many years.

On the New Calendar, Polyeuktos of Constantinople is commemorated on February 5. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on February 18 of the civil calendar.
