St. Theodosios, Archbishop of Chernigov, wonderworker.
St. Theodosios was born in the seventeenth century to a noble family of Podolia and educated at the Kiev academy. He became a monk, served as abbot of several monasteries, and was consecrated Archbishop of Chernigov.
He was known for his humility, his generosity and his care for the clergy and the poor; after his repose many miracles were worked at his relics.
Feast day
On the New Calendar, Theodosios of Chernigov is commemorated on February 5. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on February 18 of the civil calendar.
