Venerable Theodosios of Antioch, ascetic of the mountains of Cilicia.
St. Theodosios came from a noble family of Antioch and left the world to live as a hermit on a mountain near Rhosos in Cilicia, wearing chains and working with his hands. Many disciples gathered around him and he founded a monastery.
Theodoret of Cyrrhus records his life; he reposed in peace in the fifth century.
Feast day
On the New Calendar, Theodosios of Antioch is commemorated on February 5. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on February 18 of the civil calendar.
