Pyrrhus the Virgin, Bishop

Saint Pyrrhus the Virgin, a bishop remembered for his purity of life.

Saint Pyrrhus is remembered in the synaxaria as a bishop who preserved virginity throughout his life and shepherded his flock in holiness. Little else of his life has been preserved, and he is honoured simply as a saintly hierarch who reposed in peace.

On the New Calendar, Pyrrhus the Virgin, Bishop is commemorated on June 1. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on June 14 of the civil calendar.
