Venerable Sozomenos the Wonderworker, hermit of Karpasia in Cyprus.
Saint Sozomenos was a native of Karpasia in Cyprus who, tradition relates, lived before the Frankish occupation of the island. Well educated, he left his home as a young man to live in a cave as a hermit, devoting himself to prayer.
He was known for his miracles, and his cave church near Potamia remains a place of veneration in Cyprus.

On the New Calendar, Sozomenos of Cyprus is commemorated on November 20. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on December 3 of the civil calendar.
