Theosebia the Deaconess

Blessed Theosebia the Deaconess, sister of St. Basil the Great and St. Gregory of Nyssa.

St. Theosebia was a sister of St. Basil the Great and St. Gregory of Nyssa, from the family of St. Emmelia and St. Makrina. She served the Church as a deaconess and was praised by St. Gregory the Theologian for her holiness.

She reposed in peace in the fourth century and is commemorated on January 10.
