Twenty-Four Martyrs

The Holy Twenty-Four Martyrs who died by the sword.

The Twenty-Four Martyrs are commemorated together as a company of Christians who confessed Christ in the time of persecution. Tradition relates that they were put to the sword.

Their names are not preserved, but the Church keeps their common memory.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Twenty-Four Martyrs is commemorated on July 6. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on July 19 of the civil calendar.
