New Martyr Agathangelos of Florina, shoemaker, who suffered in Bitola.
St. Agathangelos was a young shoemaker from Florina in Macedonia who worked in Bitola. Grieved by the forced conversions of Christians during the Muslim festivals, he obtained an imperial decree from Constantinople to stop them.
For this he was seized by the Turks of Bitola, refused to deny Christ, and was put to death in the eighteenth century.
