Holy right-believing Emperor Marcian and Empress Pulcheria, who convened the Fourth Ecumenical Council.
St. Pulcheria, daughter of the Emperor Arcadius, was proclaimed Augusta in her youth and guided the empire during the reign of her brother Theodosius II, living in virginity and piety. After his death she married the general Marcian, who ruled with her in chastity.
Together they convened the Fourth Ecumenical Council at Chalcedon in 451, which condemned the Monophysite heresy. Pulcheria built many churches of the Theotokos in Constantinople and reposed in 453.

On the New Calendar, Marcian and Pulcheria is commemorated on February 17. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on March 2 (a day earlier in leap years) of the civil calendar.
