Christodoulos the Ethiopian

Holy Martyr Christodoulos the Ethiopian, who believed at Corfu and was martyred.

Christodoulos was an Ethiopian in the service of the ruler of Corfu who, seeing the wonders that accompanied the preaching of the Apostles Jason and Sosipater, believed in Christ and confessed openly.

He was put to death for his faith in the first century and is honoured with the other martyrs of Corfu.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Christodoulos the Ethiopian is commemorated on April 29. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on May 12 of the civil calendar.
