Chrysogonos the Martyr

Holy Martyr Chrysogonos, teacher of Saint Anastasia, martyred at Aquileia.

Saint Chrysogonos was a Christian of Rome and the spiritual teacher of the Great Martyr Anastasia. Imprisoned under Diocletian, he strengthened her by his letters.

He was taken to Aquileia and beheaded, and his memory is kept with that of Saint Anastasia.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Chrysogonos the Martyr is commemorated on November 24. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on December 7 of the civil calendar.
