Venerable Cyril the Wonderworker, Abbot of Novoezersk in Novgorod.
St. Cyril was born near Novgorod and in his youth secretly left home to become a monk under St. Cornelius of Komel. After years of ascetic struggle he settled on an island in the Red Lake, where he founded a monastery in honour of the Resurrection.
He was granted the gifts of clairvoyance and healing and reposed in peace in the sixteenth century.

On the New Calendar, Cyril of Novoezersk is commemorated on February 4. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on February 17 of the civil calendar.
