Saint Epiphanios, Bishop of Salamis (Constantia) and Archbishop of Cyprus, champion of the faith.
Epiphanios was born in Palestine of Jewish parents in the early fourth century and came to Christ as a young man. He became a monk under Saint Hilarion and founded a monastery near Eleutheropolis before being chosen bishop of Salamis in Cyprus in 367.
He was a tireless defender of Orthodox teaching, author of the Panarion against the heresies, and was loved for his generosity to the poor. He reposed at sea in 403 while returning from Constantinople.
