Holy New Martyrs George, Manuel, Theodore, George and Michael of Samothrace.
These five Christians of Samothrace had, under duress after the island was ravaged by the Turks, outwardly accepted Islam. Repenting, they returned openly to the Christian faith.
They were seized and put to death at Makri in Thrace in 1835, and are honoured together by the Church.

On the New Calendar, Five New Martyrs of Samothrace is commemorated on April 6. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on April 19 of the civil calendar.
