Venerable Platonis, deaconess and foundress of a women's monastery near Nisibis.
Platonis served as a deaconess and then withdrew to the desert near Nisibis in Mesopotamia, where she founded a community of nuns under a strict rule of prayer, fasting and silence.
She guided her sisters by her own example and reposed in peace in the early fourth century.
