New Martyr George of Attaleia, who suffered at Krini (Cesme) in 1823.
Saint George was born in Attaleia in Asia Minor. Tradition relates that he was raised as a Muslim after being taken from his Christian parents, but returned to the faith of Christ. Denounced at Krini opposite Chios, he confessed Christ openly and was put to death in 1823.

On the New Calendar, George of Attaleia, New Martyr is commemorated on June 25. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on July 8 of the civil calendar.
