Righteous Prince Peter and Princess Fevronia of Murom, wonderworkers and patrons of Christian marriage.
Saint Peter, prince of Murom, was healed of a grievous illness by the peasant maiden Fevronia and married her, and the two ruled Murom with justice and mercy in the thirteenth century. Late in life both received the monastic habit, and tradition relates that they died on the same day and were buried together.
They are honoured in Russia as patrons of marriage and family life.

On the New Calendar, Peter and Fevronia of Murom is commemorated on June 25. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on July 8 of the civil calendar.
