Parthenios and Eumenios of Koudoumas

Venerable Parthenios and Eumenios, founders of the Koudoumas Monastery in Crete.

Sts. Parthenios and Eumenios were brothers from Pigaidakia in Crete who lived as ascetics and refounded the Monastery of Koudoumas on the southern coast of the island. They lived in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Both reposed in peace and were glorified by the Church; their relics are honored at Koudoumas.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Parthenios and Eumenios of Koudoumas is commemorated on July 10. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on July 23 of the civil calendar.
