Theotimos and Theodoulos

Holy Martyrs Theotimos and Theodoulos, executioners converted by the martyrs they were sent to kill.

Tradition relates that Theotimos and Theodoulos were executioners in the service of a pagan governor who, witnessing the constancy of the Christians they were ordered to torture, confessed Christ themselves.

They were put to death for their confession and are commemorated on September 4.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Theotimos and Theodoulos is commemorated on September 4. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on September 17 of the civil calendar.
