Holy Martyrs Antonina the virgin and Alexander the soldier, who suffered together at Constantinople.
Saint Antonina was a Christian virgin who, tradition relates, was condemned to a house of shame for refusing to sacrifice to idols. The soldier Alexander, moved by God, exchanged clothes with her so that she might escape, and when this was discovered both were tortured and burned together, in the early fourth century.
