Anastasios the Younger

Patriarch of Constantinople.

St. Anastasios is remembered as a hierarch who served the Church of Constantinople, of whom the synaxaria preserve little beyond his faithful service and holy repose.

The Church honors in him, as in many shepherds whose deeds are known fully to God alone, the quiet faithfulness of those who kept the flock of Christ in difficult times. He is commemorated on October 29.
