Holy Martyr Aquilina.
The Holy Martyr Aquilina was a young girl of Byblos in Phoenicia who suffered under the persecution of Diocletian at the end of the third century. Raised in the faith from infancy, she spoke of Christ to her companions with such boldness that she was denounced to the authorities, and though only a child she endured torments and death rather than deny the Lord.
The Church honors in her the courage of the young, whose purity of faith puts the mighty to shame. She is commemorated on June 13.
