Philotheos of Sklataina

Venerable Philotheos of Sklataina in Thessaly, founder of a monastery near Trikala.

Saint Philotheos came from the village of Sklataina near Trikala in Thessaly. In the sixteenth century he founded a monastery in the region, where he led his brethren in the ascetic life and reposed in peace. His memory is kept locally with great devotion.
