Venerable Arsenios of Cappadocia, priest of Farasa and spiritual father of Saint Paisios.
Saint Arsenios was born in Farasa of Cappadocia in the nineteenth century and served as priest and teacher of his village for some fifty years, known for his ascetic life and the many healings worked through his prayers. He baptized the infant who would become Saint Paisios the Athonite.
He led his people to Greece in the population exchange of 1924 and reposed in Corfu forty days later, as he had foretold. He was glorified in 1986.

On the New Calendar, Arsenios of Cappadocia is commemorated on November 10. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on November 23 of the civil calendar.
