Carterios of Caesarea

Hieromartyr Carterios, priest and teacher of Caesarea in Cappadocia.

St. Carterios was a priest of Caesarea in Cappadocia who instructed many in the faith and built a church for his flock. In the persecution under Diocletian he was arrested, tortured, and finally pierced with a spear.

He is commemorated on January 8.
