Venerable Jonas of Pergamos in Cyprus, disciple of Saint John Lampadistis.
Jonas was a Cypriot ascetic who, tradition relates, lived near the village of Pergamos in the Larnaca district. He is remembered as a disciple and companion of Saint John Lampadistis and a man of prayer and miracles.
His memory is kept especially in the churches of Cyprus that bear his name.

On the New Calendar, Jonas of Pergamos is commemorated on October 11. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on October 24 of the civil calendar.
