Zenaida and Philonilla

Holy Women Zenaida and Philonilla of Tarsus, physicians and kinswomen of the Apostle Paul.

Zenaida and Philonilla were sisters from Tarsus in Cilicia, related to the Apostle Paul, who studied medicine and used their art to serve the sick freely in the name of Christ.

They settled in a cave near Demetrias in Thessaly, healing the bodies and souls of those who came to them, and reposed in peace in the first century.
