Feast day July 11

Hieromartyr Kindeos, priest of Pamphylia.

St. Kindeos was a priest in Pamphylia during the persecution of Diocletian. Denounced as a Christian, he was condemned to be burned.

Tradition relates that he walked calmly to the fire and gave up his soul in prayer.

On the New Calendar, Kindeos the Presbyter is commemorated on July 11. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on July 24 of the civil calendar.
