Venerable Marana and Kyra, ascetics of Beroea in Syria.
Sts. Marana and Kyra were noblewomen of Beroea in Syria who renounced their wealth and lived for over forty years in a roofless enclosure outside the city, wearing chains and keeping silence except during the Paschal season.
Theodoret of Cyrrhus, who visited them, records their life; they reposed in peace in the fifth century.
